Free Kids Dental Treatment
What is it?
The (CDBS) Child Dental Benefits Schedule is a Medicare-funded initiative to provide FREE dental care for children aged 0 to 17. Medicare initiated the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS).
This unique and beneficial dental health scheme allows eligible children between 0 and 17 access to $1095 for dental treatment at any point in the calendar year, such as:
- Examinations
- X-rays
- Cleaning
- Fissure sealing
- Fillings
- Root canals
- Extractions
Who can get it?
To be eligible for this scheme, you must claim Family Tax Benefit Part A or similar. To find out if your children are eligible, call Medicare directly or contact us here at My Local Dentists Seven Hills at (02) 8605 1696 with your Medicare Card Number, and we will let you know.
What’s covered?
Under the CDBS, we can provide check-ups, cleans, x-rays, fissure sealants, fillings, extractions, and root canal treatments.
Orthodontic and cosmetic dental work is not currently covered under the CDBS.
